70 PEOPLE WATCHED LILLY SINGH’S FIRST YOUTUBE VIDEO — NOW MILLIONS DO

Indo-Canadian young lady, Lilly Singh, has been prevailing upon a huge number of hearts the years with her YouTube Channel ‘||Superwoman||’. From getting more than 1.7 billion views in only a year to accumulating more than 11 million endorsers in under 10 years, the vlogger, essayist and comic performing artist has exploring her own versatility in every form.

She’d officially chosen to pursue a career in front of the camera as opposed to completing her college degree. The choice beyond any doubt paid off — after seven years, she has turned into the highest paid YouTuber ever with more than 11 million subscribers on her channel. She has even teamed up with the likes of Bill Gates and Priyanka Chopra.

Lily during an interview said “When I was younger, I always wanted to be someone in the entertainment industry. In my eighth grade slideshow, when everyone was like “show us what you want to be,” everyone [said] doctor, lawyer, [but] mine literally said rapper. I wanted to be a musician, I wanted to be a superstar, I wanted to be on stage, I wanted to perform, I wanted to be in movies. But as you grow up, those dreams kind of fade away and you’re hit with reality and you’re like, oh, not everyone can be Lil’ Bow Wow? Fine.
So I got into psychology simply because that’s what my sister did, and I grew up in a family that was very like, follow your sister’s footsteps. I went to the same school she went to, did the same degree she did … really had no interest in it, to be honest. It was around the time that my dad was telling me to do my masters [in counseling psychology] that I decided no, I cannot do this for two more years and make this my life. I went back to my dream of being an entertainer, so my life has gone in a 360 [turn] — letting go of that dream, discovering YouTube and [realizing] oh my god, maybe I can do this.”
Lilly who has a unique style of sporting a half braid and half open hair, says that it’s both function and fashion for her. “It is difficult to manage my long hair during performances so I keep half my hair tied like this,” said the YouTuber.
