Lest We Forget

Still the tears flow ,still the voice scream

The days turned into night ,worse than the worst dream

The moment when the nation was at pause

Houses went silent and cities full of chaos

Body and blood shattered apart

Mind went blank and cold was the heart

Soul was still and the eyes full of tears

No words were uttered ,only the holy prayers

The end was near for innocents and the brave

The womb of motherland became their grave

To the ‘land of  glory’ arrived the dusk of humanity

No words to describe ,just the peak of insanity

No soul desired of either hell or heaven

the date still haunts,

its TWENTY SIX -ELEVEN.
